Well we're hanging out in Idaho. No desert yet, but let me tell you, Asma, whom none of you know, makes some really awesome Indian food. The Ten Thousand Villages store here is a lot smaller than the one in PA. Didn't have any instruments I wanted except for some huge panpipes which I can't play anyway. Did get another really nice set of soapstone dominos, this time actually complete instead of having multiple double fives like the other one. Both are from Kenya. Both come in a really nice soapstone box. If you haven't gotten your hands on any soapstone yet, and I mean that literally, go find some and have at it. It's awesome stuff.
I think tomorrow is the Basque museum, among other things, so maybe an opportunity for more instruments. The Basque have a particular type of flute that you can play with one hand, the other typically plays a drum, that I might want, assuming they sell one. Some sort of social thing on Saturday, no idea what's up for Sunday or Monday. Then back on Tuesday. Since we don't leave here till 2, I'm guessing we'll get home pretty late. So more updates later. Oh yeah, and I think I'll go have some Guinness. Told you I agreed that beer sounds like a good idea.
